After having conquered The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HDIn Prisoners of the Sealed Lands, you’ll return to Skyloft to learn more about The Ballad of the Goddess.
In this Skyward Sword HD Light tower and Song Island walkthrough, we will guide you with tips for finding items, rubies, goddess cubes and collectibles and completing each quest and side quest. We will guide you to transform both wind millincluding talking to Gondo to fix scraper, and retrieve the Windmill propeller. With the Light tower show the way Inside the Thunderhead, we will help you solve the puzzle of the bridge on the Song Island where you will learn Farore’s courage for the Goddess harp.

Talk to Gaepora
Back on Skyloft, head to Knight Academy and talk to Gaepora – he’s in his room on the second floor.

You will learn two swirling sails mentioned in Zelda’s song.
Windmill 1

Exit Knight Academy and walk down the road along the western edge of Skyloft. The first one windmill – swirling sail – is on the right side of the road.

Hit the reel with the burst bellows spin the windmill. Take it slow – it’s easy to overtake your target. You want the windmill to point towards the tower in the square.
You’ll know you’re lined up when the shield on the back of the windmill lights up blue.

You will find the second windmill at the top of the hill in the southeast corner of Skyloft.

Approach the windmill and talk to it Jakamar. He will tell you to talk to Gondo at Scrap store.

Speak to Gondo in the Skyloft Bazaar. He will tell you about scraper and ask for a Ancient flower that he needs to fix it.
You probably have one (or more) of your time at Lanayru Desert and the Lanayru mining facility. If you don’t, go back and look for one.
Once the Scrapper has been repaired, Fi will add windmill parts to your dowsing menu. Gondo will then tell you to Sparrot.
Talk to Sparrot the Fortune Teller

From Gondo, turn around and talk to Sparrot. Pay 10 rubies and ask him where to go next.
He will tell you to go to a mountain of fire … just down the mountain from this temple – Eldin Volcano.

Fly over Eldin Volcano and stop at the temple entrance bird statue.
Turn left from the temple gates and head west. Look down the hill at the tower you knocked down to pick up key piece 2 we have been here a long time ago.

the Windmill propeller we need is on the ground right next to the tower. Ask Fi to call Scrapper to come get him.
Find a bird statue, return to the sky and return to Skyloft.
Turn the windmill 2
You will automatically land at the second windmill and Jakamar will install the windmill propeller. Hit it with the burst bellows to turn it until it faces the Plaza Tower.

Spin the windmill until the shield on the back lights up.
Light tower
Climb to the top of the tower. Take out the Goddess Harp and start playing.

Fi will sing along with you and the tower will spin, sending a beam of light into the huge storm clouds to the northwest.
Inside the Thunderhead
Summon your Loftwing and fly along the beam of light into the Thunderhead.

Continue straight until you reach the island to which the beam is leading you – the The island of songs.
The island of songs
Your first task on the Isle of Songs is to rotate rings to build a bridge.
There are three blocks that represent parts of the bridge – you need to line up all three between here and the tower.
There is also a grid-shaped block just to the left of the central pillar. This raises and lowers various stops around the discs which prevent the bridge pieces from rotating.

To align the bridge, do the following:
- Hit the rightmost crystal on the grid.
- Spin the discs until the first and second blocks line up at about 1 hour.
- Hit the left crystal on the grid.
- Spin discs with one click.
- Hit the top crystal.
- Spin the discs until all three blocks line up at the 11 o’clock position.
- Hit the top crystal.
- Spin discs with one click.
Cross the bridge and crawl through the tunnel. Save at bird statue on another side.

Go ahead and hit the altar with a Strike towards the sky.
In the following cutscene, you will learn Farore’s courage, a melody for the Goddess harp which will open your first try in Faron wood.
