Owl Prowl – Adults only

Natural ornaments for birds

Saturday December 11 at 10 a.m.

During the winter, food can be difficult to find for animals, especially birds. We can help them by creating a Wildlife Tree. Take a walk first and see how many animal species we can find. Next, we’ll learn how to make an edible ornament that birds will love to eat. Finally, take your ornaments home and create your own animal tree. * This is an indoor event * 6 years old – adult; $ 5.

Tuesday December 14, 9 a.m.

Get outside and join the park staff for our regular Tuesday bird walk. Please bring binoculars and wear sturdy shoes for the hike. All ages; To free

Full moon walk

Saturday December 18, 4:30 p.m.

Come and experience a hike under the almost full moon. This nearly three kilometer hike will be led by Ranger Dave. Observe nocturnal animals and experience the starry sky. Wear sturdy shoes for hiking. 8 years old – Adult; To free.

All programs have a limited capacity, registration is required. For meeting location and registration, email Rebecca at rblacketter@montcopa.org. Programs can be canceled at any time, you will be notified if you are registered. All programs take place outdoors, unless otherwise specified, dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

About Norristown Farm Park

Norristown Farm Park has been a working farm since colonial times. This 690-acre park is home to a wide range of plant and animal species. In this bucolic setting, you will find hiking trails, a cooperative trout nursery, picnic areas, forests, floodplains, fallows and working agricultural fields, wetlands and two stocked trout streams. as well as a number of historic structures the oldest of which dates back to 1764. We offer a variety of public programs throughout the year with topics based on the seasons. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to sunset.
