Deliveroo delivers love at first bite with door-to-door ‘weddings’

DELIVEROO is giving couples the chance to win a home wedding performed by one of their “roo-gistrar” riders to celebrate Valentine’s Day this month.

Couples can win the chance to see one of the food delivery app runners arrive at their doorstep with rings and petals and perform a convenient wedding service at their doorstep.

The celebrations will also include a £100 Deliveroo voucher code for a sumptuous meal for two.

Five lucky couples will be chosen for the ‘Married At First Bite’ experience, which will be held in Brighton, as well as London and Birmingham, throughout Valentine’s Day.

Couples who want a chance to win must go to the Deliveroo website and enter their details by February 8.

The delivery company aims to offer the service to couples whose weddings and civil ceremonies have been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Aisha Jefferson of Deliveroo said: “We are delighted to offer couples the opportunity to overcome their nuptial nerves by participating in our first-bite wedding experience.

“Our ‘roo-gistrar riders’ are ready and eager to guide enthusiastic couples through the full ‘fake’ experience, including the exchange of vows and rings.

“To top it off, the lovebirds will receive a Deliveroo credit voucher for ordering a romantic meal for two after saying ‘yes’.
