ISU will offer the public a professional sales masterclass

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – The Walter P. Brown Center for Sales Excellence at the Idaho State University College of Business has partnered with ISU Continuing Education and Workforce Training to bring a professional sales masterclass to the public.

Previously, this course was taught exclusively to students enrolled in the ISU College of Business. Dr. Shane Hunt, Dean of the ISU College of Business and Michael C. Ruettgers Professor of Marketing, and three ISU College of Business instructors, John Nye, Don Zebe and Kent Malinowski saw an opportunity to offer the course for industry leaders, entrepreneurs, sales associates/managers, and anyone interested in adding additional sales tactics to their current skill base.

Walter P. Brown Center for Sales Excellence instructors are on a mission to create a breakthrough in the world of sales by cultivating a culture of trust. Bringing this class to the industry was an opportunity to do just that.

“I believe customers deserve an amazing shopping experience. However, most customers are resistant to interacting with salespeople. Our mission is to change that and elevate salespeople to the role of trusted advisors, so they are the welcome to any trade show or boardroom,” Malinowski said. “Whether they’re selling hardware, firmware, software, hair care, or healthcare, from advertising to mergers and acquisitions, this course has something for everyone.”

The seven-part Professional Sales Masterclass will begin in the fall. Classes are divided into an introductory Zoom session, followed by a two-day in-person boot camp and five half-day clinics. The masterclass starts at the beginning of September and lasts until the first week of December. Flexible schedules will allow participants to attend sessions on a variety of dates.

Participants will learn a skill set that includes using tactics to gain trust, deliver engaging presentations, build a collaborative atmosphere, negotiation skills, and more. Group and early bird rates are available.
