New song Friday! Hear new songs from Allison Russell, Florence + the Machine, Mandy Moore, Fantastic Negrito, and more

Hello and welcome to our running series where we share our favorite new songs and music videos throughout the week.

This week we have new work from Allison Russell, Florence + the Machine, Fantastic Negrito, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Kanye West, Mitski and David Byrne and more.

So, without further ado, let’s dive into the new tracks, shall we?

1. Allison Russel and Sa-Roc

Two standouts the American songwriter previously profiled, singer/songwriter Allison Russell and rapper Sa-Roc, have joined forces on the new remix of Russell’s song, “All Of The Women.” The soul-stirring, third-eye-opening new work can be heard below to check out and absorb. We can’t recommend this one enough.

2. The Gizzard King and the Lizard Wizard

Aussie rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, known for their surreal style and often psychedelic musicality, released their latest single this week, “The Dripping Tap,” which you can hear below in all of its classic sounds. guitar and in mind. bend incredible courage.

3. Sons Lux, Mitski and David Byrne

One of our favorite soul singers, Acantha Lang, released her latest single this week, “River Keep Runnin’,” which you can hear below in all its energizing, heartfelt melancholy. Lang has a knack for captivating listeners with his wit and talent on the mic. We can’t wait any longer!

7. Emily James

The up-and-coming talent songwriter we’ve talked about before in these pages has released her latest single and accompanying music video for the track “Bird of Prey.” Could she be the next Taylor Swift? We wouldn’t be surprised.

8. Clinton Fearon

Legendary reggae singer Clinton Fearon released his latest song this week, “The Human Chain,” along with a music video. The track, which features artist Mista Savona, serves as both a delightful listen and, as Fearon is known, a model for thinking and living. Check it out below.

9. Mandy Moore

14. Florence + the machine

This week, Florence + the Machine released two new singles from the band’s upcoming album. All three demonstrate the allure and undeniable power of the group.

15. Alison in Wonderland

This week, pop star Alison Wonderland released her latest single and (haunting) music video for the gripping track “New Day.” Blending club beats with Western motifs, Wonderland soars over the music and grabs your heart. We look forward to the sequel, including her new album which will be released on May 6th.

16. Molly’s Whipping

Los Angeles-born Irish-inspired rock band Flogging Molly have released their latest single, “These Times Have Got Me Drinking/Tripping Up The Stairs.” It might also be your new favorite drinking song. Just try not to clap your big mug of beer while putting the song at volume level -10.

17. Short trombone

The standout New Orleans songwriter released his latest smile-inducing single today (March 11), “Lifted.” The new song is also the title track of the artist’s upcoming album, which itself is set to be released on April 29.

18. Hansen

The sister trio released their latest single, “Write You a Song”, today as a precursor to the band’s upcoming new album, Red Green Bluewhich comes out May 20. Check out the Americana track below that’s reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen and more of the classic rock era.

19. Phoebe Bridger

The singer-songwriter released the live performance of his single, “Chinese Satellite,” today in honor of the 25th anniversary of Secretly Canadian, an independent record label in Bloomington, Indiana. Check out the heartfelt, acoustically charged track below.

20. The Rockfords

The Mike McCready-led project (Pearl Jam) released their debut LP today and to celebrate that achievement, we wanted to share one of the songs from the new album. Check out that track, “Coat of Arms,” ​​featuring vocals from Seattle’s Carrie Akre below.
